There was essential oil everywhere.

Siri’s favorite muscle salve had exploded in her dance bag—so loaded with essential oils it literally chewed through the fabric of a very not-cheap backpack. The salve “worked,” sure, but it clearly wasn’t safe for her skin, her gear, or anything it touched.

Meanwhile, I was already in my garage lab, making waterless, potent, actually-sane skincare—no filler, no marketing BS, and definitely no “hope your stuff doesn’t melt in the car” roulette. So instead of buying another risky salve and another backpack, I did what I do best: I built a better one from scratch.

I wanted a muscle balm that:

  • Stayed solid in real life—hot cars, dance studios, chaotic bags.
  • Respected the skin barrier instead of nuking it with overpowering oils.
  • Delivered real, targeted comfort without wrecking anything in the process.

So Muscle Balm became a solid stick: slow-melt, spill-proof, and loaded with skin-loving butters and carefully balanced essential oils. It’s “throw it in your bag and forget about it” friendly, because when you finally reach for it after a long rehearsal, hike, or shift, the last thing you should be worried about is whether it has destroyed your stuff.

Muscle Balm is my answer to a very simple question: why should relief come with collateral damage?
