Why Oh Why and My Favorite Recipe for Facial Cleansing Oil

I’ve always loved formulating and making my natural and organic products for our household.  From cleaning solutions to salves and lotion bars, I’ve enjoyed making these thing for a healthier home.

So many products have so many ingredients in them, many which or incomprehensible, and many that are considered carcinogenic.  I have sought out raw ingredients that are wholesome, organic, or as close to organic as possible to formulate my lotion bars.  Their are meant to be an all-over skin care product bar.  There are no preservatives or unnecessary fillers added.  It is a highly concentrated solid-state bar that is loaded with hight quality ingredients.  Each bar is approximately two oz and can last several months.

Being an eco-friendly product is very important to me.  All of my products are packaged in recyclable packaging.  All of my shipping materials are also paper, including the padding the the shipping envelopes.

Daily use is recommended for skin repair while as need use is recommenced for less damaged skin.  This will help you cracked skin finally see repair.  These butters and oils penetrate deep into the layers of the skin to repair and restore while the beeswax helps to protect the outlier of skin from losing more moisture.  As with any skin issues, make sure you are drinking lots of water.

My Favorite Facial Cleansing Oil

This is my go to recipe for my cleansing oil. I change up the essential oils each time, because I like to have a different main scent, I do however continue to use certain essential oils every time.

  • 1 3oz bottle
  • small funnel or steady hand
  • dropper
  • 1.5 oz Castor oil (cold pressed organic is best)
  • 1.4 oz Avacodo oil (cold pressed organic is best)
  • 10 drops of one of these essential oils_ rose, jasmine, or neroli (These are what I use for the major scent, and they are my favorites.)
  • 5 drops lavender essential oil
  • 5 drops copaiba essential oil (organic if possible)
  • 5 drops elemi or frankincense essential oil (organic if possible)
  1. Put the funnel in the bottle or with a steady hand, pour your castor oil into your bottle, followed by your avacado oil

  2. Add your essential oils - using the dropper if you don't have a flow reducer on your essential oil bottles.

Make sure your bottle is nice and clean before you get started.  I tend to run mine through the dishwasher and let it sanitize it for me!

With my essential oils, I tend to remove the flow reducers, as some oils some our super slow, and other almost fall out (waaaaay too fast).  I tend to use a dropper, because I do  remove that flow reducer.

best, easy, fast, favorite, natural, oil cleansing

Thanks so much for visiting! This is a basic recipe, there are so many other things you can add to it to make it your own. Coconut oil or Olive oil can be substituted for the Castor oil. Experiment! Let me know if you try it, or what tweaks you make to make it your own!!
