Keeping Up Barely...

IMG_8149Since my last post, Siri and I have been sick twice, make that 3 times…  Once with a fairly vigorous stomach flu, followed by two super busy weeks, then both of us have had a fever, and just feeling blah.  We came out of that, just in time for our trip to visit family in Oregon for Thanksgiving.  Upon returning we all got sick.  That said, we've stayed busy, but with many other things.  So, all that said, hopefully I'll be able to keep up a bit better here!IMG_8155We had a great Thanksgiving.  We stayed with my cousin Nicole and family in southern Oregon.  We had a lovely time.  Siri, Chloe, and Matthew had great fun playing together.  We were able to get lots of time to talk and hangout.  The kids got lots of time to play together and really enjoy each other. It was fun to see the kiddos having so much fun.  They live on an acre that borders one person with a pony (Bella), and on another side there were some playful cows that really seemed to enjoy some human attention.  Siri and Chloe had fun talking and feeding Bella, playing Barbies and Monster High dolls all at the same time.IMG_8153After we got back I've been volunteering at Siri's school and we've been making some special holiday ornaments.  We have been embroidering snowflakes on felt.  They are looking quite beautiful.  Keep an eye out on Instagram for photos.  I've also managed to make another dress for Siri's OG Doll.  I started with this free pattern the Katie Dress.  I really like the bodice of this dress, I doubled the skirt width and used my ruffler foot to create more volume.  I also found that for the OG doll, I'll need to make several modifications to the pattern to have it fit well. I still like how it turned out.  I'll post the pattern I created out of it soon.IMG_8199Next week, I want to go into our menu planning. All the Best,Liz
